Designer Kathleen Berney has worked with textiles for many years and exhibited in galleries around Australia. Her works are in wardrobes all over the world, and earlier pieces in private and public collections including the National Gallery of Australia.
For the first time in many years she is again exhibiting in the gallery space. You can see her latest work as part of the ‘Shadows’ exhibition from 2-19 July 2014.
For this exhibition she has been exploring shadows and light and playing with fleeting images of shadows and the illusive thought …light seeps through, flooding the palette of our lives.
Her work will be exhibited as part of a group of five textile practitioners. Each is exploring the concept of shadows through textiles in different innovative ways.
